Synthetic and Natural Happiness

What causes us to be happy and the choices we make? There are two different types of happiness synthetic and natural happiness.  Most people believe if they become millionaires or have a job in Wall Street they will be happier. Or  regular middle class people can be happy as the wealth. In this paper I will explain the differences between synthetic and natural happiness and effect it has on us.

Most people believe if they become millionaires it will bring them happiness, and a joyful life. By telling the brain’s prefrontal cortex which causes simulate experiences that if we buy a new TV, car, or house it will make us happier. From extend research, in most cases it’s the opposite, and it might make you unhappier. Synthetic happiness is where we try to visualize moments and try to put everything in order in different situation and try to predict the outcome to make us happy, in most case we over think on what will brings happiness.

Natural happiness is natural, freedom of pick and choose. When someone falls in love, a new born child or graduation from high school or college is what brings most people natural happiness. Even though you might not be the richest person or have everything you want in life to bring you happiness we make changes to bring us closer to our dreams and happiness. For example, when you are giving a choice to pick and give something away that is important to you, and you don’t have a chance to revise it. Most people are happy with the choice they make unlike if you could revise the item you gave away our mind would constantly be thinking which one would make us happier.

In conclusion even though synthetic and natural happiness is within us and the brain will always be forming over the years, it is important for us to realize between the two different happiness and the effect it can have on us every day.
